Credit Card Billing and Payment Management

Add functionality to the Credit Cards section that allows users to configure and track their credit card billing cycles and payment due dates. Requirements Allow users to define the statement closing date for each credit card. Allow users to define the payment due date for each credit card. Automatically calculate and display the next payment due date based on the configured billing cycle. Display the current billing period balance directly on the credit card. This balance must represent the total amount spent within the card’s current billing period, not the user’s expenses for the current calendar month. Display the total amount due for the current billing period, based on the transactions included in that credit card’s statement period. Clearly distinguish between: Monthly spending: expenses grouped by calendar month. Credit card billing period balance: expenses accumulated between the previous and current statement closing dates. Amount due: the total amount that needs to be paid for the corresponding billing period. Notify users when a credit card payment is approaching or due. Allow users to view a period-based report for each credit card. The report should include relevant information such as: Billing period. Statement closing date. Payment due date. Total spending during the billing period. Total amount due. Payments made toward the period. Remaining balance to pay. Transactions included in the billing period. Allow users to select a specific billing period or date range when viewing the report. Goal Provide users with an accurate view of their credit card billing cycle, including the amount accumulated during the current period and the total amount that must be paid, without confusing it with monthly expense tracking.

Customised Budget cycle

Feature Summary: I would like to request more flexibility with budget cycles, specifically allowing each account to have its own independent cycle and a customizable budget period. This is crucial for accurately tracking credit card spending and billing cycles. Current Limitation: Currently, the app applies a single, global budget cycle across all accounts. This doesn't reflect real-world financial habits, especially for users managing multiple credit cards with different statement dates. Real-World Use Case: Most credit card users don't operate on a strict calendar-month budget (1st to 30th/31st) for their cards. The Scenario: A credit card's billing cycle might run from the 15th of last month to the 14th of this month. The spending incurred during this period is calculated as "this month's bill," which becomes the actual budget/payment target for the current calendar month. The Need: To accurately track this, the app needs to support account-specific budget cycles where a user can set a custom budget period that aligns perfectly with their specific credit card statement dates. Suggested Solution: Remove the global budget cycle restriction. Allow users to go into an individual account's settings and define a unique Budget Period/Cycle (e.g., "Starts on the 15th of every month"). This change would make the app incredibly powerful for anyone trying to manage credit card debt and monthly cash flow effectively. Thank you!
